Description

Why should you use chick paper for chicks?

Taking care of and managing chicks in the first week is crucial as it determines their future growth and productivity. In particular, the weight of chicks at 7 days old is related to their weight at the time of release, and early exposure to sufficient feed and water within the first 24 hours of arrival at the farm is essential for successful rearing. When chicks come into contact with feed and water, it stimulates the movement of the digestive tract, allowing for complete absorption of the yolk sac within 5-7 days. The nutrients in the yolk sac are vital for maintaining body temperature, developing and maturing organs, including the immune system. Additionally, the antibodies passed through the yolk sac provide effective protection against diseases. If the yolk sac is not fully absorbed in the first few weeks, it can lead to yolk sac inflammation, increasing mortality rates and the cost of disease prevention. Furthermore, prolonged fasting in chicks can result in increased acid production in the stomach, causing gastric ulcers and damage to the stomach lining and glands.

Understanding the importance of caring for chicks in their first week, poultry farmers need to prepare brooders and chick paper to facilitate easy access to feed and water immediately after arrival. This can be achieved by providing feeding troughs, water containers, and other necessary equipment.

However, farmers often reuse food bags as lining materials, which can contribute to the spread of diseases. Food bags have poor water absorption, making the feed prone to moisture from chick feces. Additionally, after using food bags, farmers have to collect and dispose of them, which can cause stress to the chicks. These bags also need to be cleaned and disinfected, increasing the cost of labor and disinfectants. In the past, farmers used to provide water on wire mesh, but this could make the chicks wet and susceptible to cold temperatures.

Understanding these issues, we have introduced Chick Paper as a solution for poultry farmers.

Chick Paper can address all the concerns that farmers have been worried about.
